学院简介

        化学工程学院办学历史悠久,是辽宁科技大学师资力量较强、学科科研发展水平较高的核心学院之一。学院前身是1949年成立的鞍山第一钢铁工业学校炼焦专业。1977年成立鞍山钢铁学院化工系,1999年由原化学工程系、应用化学系、化学工程研究中心、色谱分离中心合并组建化学工程学院。
        学院现设有五个教学系(化学工程系、应用化学系、环境工程系、生物工程系、化学系)和一个教学实验中心。拥有化学工程与技术一级学科博士授权点和辽宁省重点特色学科(原冶金部重点学科)—化学工艺学科,建有辽宁省先进煤焦化技术重点实验室、功能材料重点实验室、辽宁省先进煤焦化技术工程技术中心、精细分离工程中心(辽宁省高校工程技术研究中心)和原冶金部重点实验室-化学工程研究中心。
        学院现设有化学工程与工艺、应用化学、环境工程、生物工程和能源化工5个本科专业;化学工程与工艺专业为辽宁省普通高等院校重点支持建设专业。“化学工程与技术”学科是我校首个一级学科博士授权点学科,下设化学工程、化学工艺、生物化工、应用化学和工业催化5个二级学科。同时,化学工程与技术为一级学科硕士点和工程硕士学位授权点。学院目前有在校本科生1202人,硕士研究生269人,博士研究生18人(含外籍留学生),其中化学工程与工艺本科专业在全国10个省市一本招生。
学院拥有一支高水平教师队伍,现有教职工113人。其中博士生导师12人,有教授24人、副教授37人,具有博士学位的中青年教师占教师总数的53%。外籍教师3人,其中双聘国家千人计划专家(澳大利亚工程院院士)1人、国家“外专千人计划”1人, 双聘973首席科学家1人;有辽宁省攀登学者1人、辽宁省特聘教授1人、辽宁省教学名师1人;有宝钢教育奖获得者2人,辽宁省劳动模范1人。有海外留学经历的教师21人。
        学院注重教学方法、教学手段、教学内容的改革创新,拥有“物理化学”省级优秀教学团队。《有机化学》课程为辽宁省精品课,《无机化学》、《分析化学》、《物理化学》、《炼焦化学产品回收与精致工艺学》课程为校级精品课。李红霞老师主编的《有机化学》、肖瑞华、白金锋等老师编写的《煤化学产品工艺学》为普通高等教育“十一.五”国家规划教材。基础化学实验教学示范中心被辽宁省教育厅批准为省级实验教学示范中心,“应用化学”专业为校级示范性专业,“化学工程与工艺”和“应用化学”专业为校级优势专业。《生物工程专业微生物学教学改革研究》获辽宁省“十.五”教育科学优秀成果三等奖。
        学院注重打造高水平的教学和科研实践创新平台,依托省重点实验室和省级工程技术中心进行学科建设和学术团队建设,拥有包括瑞士Bruker公司500兆核磁共振仪、美国Agilent 公司的高效液相/质谱联用仪、美国PE公司的LAMBDA900紫外/可见/近红外分光光度计、LS-55型荧光/磷光/发光分光光度计、全自动制备液相系统、全自动微波合成仪、模拟移动床等先进的仪器设备、STA-Mass、GC-MS、BET等先进分析仪器,为进行高水平的科学研究提供必要的条件。先进煤焦技术是学院的传统优势学科方向;在有机电子发光材料的研制方面处国内外领先水平;精细分离工程研究方向处于国内领先水平;纳米粉体的研制和应用及煤系材料的开发和应用研究方向处于国内先进水平。近年来获国家科技进步奖二等奖1项,省部级科技进步奖8项,国家发明专利近36项。近年来承担国家自然科学基金项目、国家高技术研究发展计划(863)项目、辽宁省自然科学基金项目、教育部博士点、国际合作项目以及其它各类科研项目近百项,年发表学术论文近百篇,其中三大检索收录的学术论文40余篇。
        学院高度重视国际交流与合作,与美国、日本、韩国、澳大利亚等国家的十余所高校和院所建立了长期学术与科研合作关系,成功举办国际性学术研讨会,聘请了12位国内外著名的专家学者为我院客座教授。 学院每年选派多名优秀教师和研究生赴日本东北大学、冈山大学、琦玉工业大学,澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学、新南威尔士大学、莫纳什大学和西澳大学,和比利时布鲁塞尔自由大学等攻读博士学位或短期合作研究。
 
Overview of The School of Chemical Engineering
 
 
      The School of Chemical Engineering was founded in 1999 and it was established based on the reconstruction and reunion of the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Applied Chemistry of the former Anshan Iron and Steel Institute, which has a long history of 67 years. The School of Chemical Engineering is one of the largest Schools in the University of Science and Technology Liaoning and combines a broad incorporation of different disciplines including the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Department of Applied Chemistry, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Environmental Engineering, the Department of Biological Engineering and the Experimental Center. The Research Center of Chemical Engineering is a key laboratory of former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. The Laboratory of Organic Functional Materials was named the Key Laboratory of Liaoning in 2004 and the Center of Fine Separation Technology was named Liaoning Engineering Technology Center. The Liaoning Key Laboratory of Advanced Coal Coking Technology has been approved in the subject direction of Coal Chemical Industry in 2010 and Liaoning Research Center of Advanced Coal Coking Technology was approved in 2011. The Joint Research Center of Advanced Coal Coking Technology and high-efficiency Use of Coal Resources has been successfully approved as a major scientific and technological platform of Liaoning Province in 2014. The Research Center of Coal Chemical Engineering is approved to be the engineering research center of Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission in 2014.
      A four-year undergraduate program can be offered in 5 disciplinary directions including Chemical Engineering and Technology, Applied Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering and Energy Chemistry. Chemical Engineering and Technology is fully supported by Liaoning Province for a professional development. The School has the authorization spot for doctor's degree in chemical engineering and technology approved by in 2012, including 5 secondary disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Biological Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry and Industrial Catalysis.
     The School of Chemical Engineering has about 1500 undergraduate students and about 270 graduate students of whom 250 are in the M.S. or M. Eng. program and 20 are in the Ph.D. program. The School of Chemical Engineering consists of strong teaching and research teams with a rationally constructive structure in the aspect of education degrees, professional titles and ages. Many faculty members have received various awards for their achievements in research and education. Among them, Edward Ramsey is selected as one of the three foreign experts in Liaoning province in the program of Chinese Thousands Talent Plan for High-Level Foreign Experts. Prof. Baigang An and Prof. Zhizhi Hu are selected as "Top 100" experts, and Prof. Tingting Gu and Prof. Junyi Hu are elected as "Top 1000" experts in Liaoning BaiQianWan Talents Program. Prof. Zhiqiang Zhang and Prof. Zhigang Fang are awarded as the outstanding teaching staffs of Liaoning. The team of "Physical Chemistry" is named as an outstanding teaching team in Liaoning. The school members are actively engaged in the reformation of teaching methods and contents. For example, the course of "Organic Chemistry" has gained as Liaoning excellent course, "Inorganic Chemistry", "Analytical Chemistry", "Physical Chemistry", and "Coke-based Chemicals Recycling and Refined Chemical Technology "are remarked as the excellent courses at the University-level.   
      The School of Chemical Engineering has been awarded one National 2nd-Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, 8 Progress Prizes by the provincial Science and Technology of Liaoning, and 61 national invention patents. Currently, the School of Chemical Engineering are working on 92 projects under the support of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National High Technology Research and Development "863" Program, Liaoning Natural Science Foundation and other types of research foundations. In the last three years more than 320 papers have been published and more than 200 of them are recorded by EI, SCI and ISTP.
       Many advanced instruments are available in the School of Chemical Engineering, such as Swiss Bruker NMR spectrometer, the US Agilent's HPLC / mass spectrometry, the US PE LAMBDA900 UV / VIS / NIR spectrophotometer, LS-55 fluorescent / phosphorescent / emission spectroscopy photometer, automated preparative liquid system, automatic microwave synthesizer, simulated moving bed and other advanced equipments, which offers a high-level platform for advanced scientific research. The research on the development of organic electroluminescent, and finely separation luminescent engineering occupy domestic leading level. The research development and application of nano powder materials and coal-based materials are also at an advanced level in China.
          The School of Chemical Engineering has world-wide collaborations with 10 Universities, Research Institutes and Companies in 4 countries like USA, Japan, Korea and Australia for research development and exchange students schemes. 12 well-known academicians in China and abroad are invited as guest professors by our school. According to the exchange agreement between the Department of Nature Science, Okayama University and Saitama University, a few talent teaching staffs or master students will go to Japan for their Ph.D. Study each year.
